Knitting and Crocheting for Charity is a non-profit organization. I learned how to knit in 2013 and crochet in 2014. I was discussing with some friends about what do they do with their finished projects. I was told that most people give there stuff away to friends and/or family and/or sell them. I felt led to start Knitting and Crocheting for Charity in November 2013.

I came up with the idea that why not donate these items to charity. I had a few friends that told me they loved the idea and wanted to help. Some people approached me that they would love to help, but the do not know how to knit or crochet. I told them they could always donate yarn or money for yarn. Most would buy yarn on clearance to give to me and I would meet with the volunteers when they finished projects. I took the finished products to donate and give them more yarn so they could continue to knit or crochet. Projects include hats, scarves, ear warmers, hat/scarf sets, and cowls. They make the finished projects for men, women, and children in need.
